Pink Flamingo By: Khloe

How do they look? Flamingos have pink feathers. They have long necks and legs that look like sticks.

How big is my animal? Flamingos can be 2.6 to 4.7 feet tall and weigh about 5.5 to 7.7 pounds.

The habitat of my animal Flamingos live in lots of places like South America and Africa. They are water birds so they live in and around lagoons or lakes.

What does my animal eat? How to get their food? Flamingos are omnivores, so they eat vegetation and meat like insects and algae. The algae they eat is what gives them their pink color.

Fun Facts Baby flamingos are gray and white, but will turn pink within the first couple of years. If an adult flamingo stops eating algae, it will lose its pink color.
