Integration – Jura Substation Argon extraction blocks door opening for EL switchboards in current position. Re-location of substation to zone in existing building being studied – liberates space for other users. Integration images – Jerome Chatron

Site progress Earthing installation ongoing, following civil engineering

Lighting Temporary lighting will be installed when access is available – date TBC Hired via EMTE contract for duration TBC. Permanent lighting requires gantry crane for efficient installation, therefore cannot be advanced.

Planning - Containment Quotation ready – need CB to launch works Technical gallery – available for early start once waterproof, date TBC General containment constraints for early start: Access to hall for equipment (2 cherry pickers + 1 manitou)? Delivery of containment into hall – without finished road? 4-5 weeks work, with junctions to existing building to follow (2 weeks, second phase?) Possible without gantry crane – if these questions resolved. Beamline containment: Requires installation of shielding and magnets Duration 1-2 weeks per line (H2/H4) Predecessor to DC cabling + Instrumentation. Containment not constrained by EYETS.

Planning - Cabling DIR’s URGENTLY Required Analysis of DICs so far (80-90% complete) DC for H4 – ? < tracing in March/April, no installation before- planning to be checked. DC for H2 – ? Total for DC – 4 weeks minimum, to be confirmed Magnets must be installed first Containment required before installation Control cables – To be confirmed Second campaign contents – ODH, GAS, Fire detection missing DICs – due to risk assessment. End date for campaign one – 9 th December (start of EYETS 12 th Dec) Start date for campaign two – 1 st April 2017 (end of EYETS)
