Introduction How to set up page numbers Use chapter numbers Add date Add line numbers

How to use page numbers. First select the page and go to the header or footer Select format page number from the toolbar From here select the style of numbering (roman numeral, Arabic numerals, letters) From the format page number you can also select the number to begin counting pages Click ok

Use chapter numbers To include chapter numbers go to the header/footer Select the format page number from the toolbar Select the include chapter number box Select the character used to separate the chapter and the page number Click ok

Add dates and time Select the header/footer from the toolbar click Insert Date to add the date From the toolbar click Insert Time to add the time Click Close.

Add line numbers Click Page Setup from the file menu Click the Layout tab. Click Whole document in the apply box. Click Line Numbers. Select the Add line numbering check box Select the options you want. Click OK twice to exit.
