Introduction Are you someone who finds poetry extremely difficult? Well today is your lucky day! There are so many types of poetry. Once you find the right kind of poetry that fits your writing style, poetry can be a blast! You can turn anything you want into a poem. Most of all, poetry can be on anything YOU want! Let’s begin exploring different types of poetry!

Task Your task is to be an explorer of poetry. You will be given three different types of poems to explore. A haiku, a limerick, and a free verse will be the poems you will discover. You will search how to create each poem by writing down the steps. You will write down the definition of each poem as well. Once you are finished, you will create your own poem in the form you like best. Your poem will be published on the classroom Poetry Wall.

Conclusion Hopefully your journey with poetry was fun after examining three different forms. There are many forms out there. You may find one you like better than the three I chose for you to explore. Try writing other forms in your spare time! Poetry is a way of expressing yourself. Have fun with it, and remember to be CREATIVE!
