Confined Space Rescue Level II Course Overview: Mod 1

 Day One  Lecture  Mod 1 – Mod 6  Practical – Orientation and Review  Air Systems  Tending Systems  Rescue Systems  Monitoring and Ventilation Systems  Victim Movement / Removal Confined Space Rescue Level II

 Day 2  Practical – Site Assessment and Documentation  Confined Space Pre Planning  Confined Space Checklist Documentation  Site Operations and Tactics Confined Space Rescue Level II

 Day 3  Practical – Scenario Based Rescues  Confined Space Scenarios designed to incorporate all skill sets and apply developed documents and plans. Confined Space Rescue Level II

 Students must complete all course components and skill sheet objectives to receive certification.  Students must maintain compliance with PPE standards during evolutions.  Students should be prepared to train in all weather conditions Confined Space Rescue Level II

 Students must comply with all safety directives established by the instructional team.  Safety is the shared responsibility of the individual, team, and instructors.  Practice safety at all times.  “STOP” is the universal command for imminent threats to safety  Be aware of your surroundings at all times.  This course is designed to meet or exceed all requirements of NFPA 1006 and NFPA 1670 for Technician (Level II) level confined space rescue.  The purpose of this course is to create competent rescuers with:  Strong confined space rescue fundamentals  Ability to function as part of a rescue team  Understanding of tactical priorities and organization  Proficiency in technical skills and applications  Ability to direct confined space operations  Ability to plan for and prepare a rescue team for confined space events Confined Space Rescue Level II
