Our Team Tell us about your team: Morgan and I are from Clarence Middle school and are in 6 th grade, we have learned to create wind energy by taking mechanical energy and transferring it into electrical energy. By doing this we learned that we don’t have to burn coal or burn fossil fuels to generate our windmill.

Design Brief Problem Statement (What is the problem that your teacher has given you to solve?) We are burning to many fossil fuels to generate electricity. Design Statement (How are you going to solve this problem? Include the process you are going to take to solve the given problem) : we are going to design wind turbines so that we do not have to burn fossil fuels.

Design Brief Constraints (What you can and cannot do/use.): No metal blades Use light materials, cardboard, plastic, foam core, wood Size of blades over 18 to 20 inches Dowels could be used No hot glue Deliverables (What materials and items you need to solve this problem) 3 different concept sketches Refined concept sketch Hub kidWind towers Needed a multimeter Tape measure

Constraint: light weight material Constraint: Good size Constraint: hub Constraint: dowels Constraint: Ease of making it Total Design Design Design 3 Design 4 Design 5 Design Table Best Worst Ranking
