Renewable resources My two renewable recourses were algae and wind. By: Eddie Fannin jr.

Algae Algae is a good alternative to fossil fuels. They call the fuel biofuel. How they create it is vary interesting. 1 st they grow the algae, then starve it of nutrients, then they open it up and take all the fats and sugar, then use solvents to separate sugars from fat, then they let the solvent evaporate then they take the fat and turn it into fuel. That’s how you get bio fuel.

Benefits/Drawbacks There are no real draw backs to algae as a source of fuel because it is eco friendly except it releases different co2 then fossil fuels. Benefits are like not as polluted air and less global warming. And its cheaper then fossil fuels.

Plans to market biodiesel The government is trying to be able to get 15,000 square miles (39,000 km 2 ) of land to grow algae. Witch is less then the area of corn in the U.S. The reason why is because 2 car lengths of algae makes more oil then a football field of soybeans.

Wind Wind is a form of solar energy. How we convert wind into energy is easy if we use a windmill. All it douse is the wind moves the propeller around witch powers a generator.

Benefits/drawbacks There are no drawbacks But the waist product is co2. Benefits are no fossil fuels because it electric so its better for the environment, also if we use electricity we can reduce global warming.

Plans to fully only use wind as a resource We are trying to make more windmills in one area (also known as windmill farms).
