Our Classroom  4 th Grade – Reading lesson  Ms. White (ECE) comes in to the room during reading  Ms. G (reg. ed) and Ms. White split the class in half and teach the same lesson at the same time with smaller groups.  The groups are mixed, there are ECE students in both  Students are familiar with this routine and these groups

Today’s Lesson  Figurative Language  Idioms  Standard: L. 4.5  Demonstrate understanding of figurative language, word relationships, and nuances in word meanings.  Objectives:  I can distinguish between literal and figurative language  I can illustrate what an idiom says and state what it literally means
