8 Study Tips and Strategies

9 Suggestions for Visual Learners If you write things down, you will remember them Look at the person while they are talking in order to stay focused Work in a quiet place Most visual learners study better by themselves Take notes and highlight the main ideas Create vocabulary cards, study them, then write the words and definitions to check yourself

10 Suggestions for Kinesthetic Learners When you need to remember things, pace or walk around the room while reciting them When at home, try studying with music on in the background If you feel fidgety in class, try bouncing you foot up and down or squeeze a nerf ball. Try reading a book while walking around When studying, take frequent 5 minute long breaks

11 Suggestions for Auditory Learners Study Buddy: talk out loud about the information you are learning Read out loud Highlight main ideas in your notes and worksheets Make flash cards with vocabulary words on the front and definitions on the back – practice by saying out loud the answers Recite out loud the things you want to remember
