KINESTHETIC VISUAL/VERBAL VISUAL- NONVERBAL AUDITORY/VERBAL Prefer “Hands On” activity. Like to touch and manipulate models in labs.

Prefers pictures Benefits from instructors who use visual aids like film Video, maps and charts A good learning strategy is Creating tables, charts, and diagrams that illustrate key concepts from textbook and lecture notes.

Like Hearing Things? AUDITORY AUDITORY/VERBAL Prefers oral language format Benefits from listening to lecture, participating in group discussion, and listening to audio tape. A good learning strategy is joining a study group or finding a “study buddy”. Also it is recommended to tape record lectures

Touch! TACTILE/ KINESTHETIC Prefer physically engaged “hands on” activity. You benefit from a lab setting where you can manipulate materials to learn new information. A good learning strategy to help stay focused on class lecture is to sit near the front of the room and take notes throughout the class period. Also try drawing pictures and charts to help remember the information that you hearing (ie. try to stay engaged with your hands) .

Use annotation to record impressions and reactions. 3. Ask questions about chapter content and answer them Prefer to be cautious and methodical When Learning. Good learning strategies are 1. Write list of steps, processes and procedures. 2. Write summaries and outlines. 3. Use structured study environment. 4. Focus on problem –solving logical sequence.

objects and real life learning Situations Useful learning methods are: 1. Associate ideas with their Application 2. Think of situations to which learning applies 3.Use case studies ,examples, and, applications to cue your learning. Prefer to work with language and Ideas; practical applications are not necessary for understanding. Useful learning methods are: 1.Use outlining. 2. Focus on thought patterns. 3. Organize materials that lack order.
