2 Perfformiad a Rhagolygon Performance and Prospects Mae perfformiad yn dda neu’n well at ei gilydd mewn 89% o’r 115 o leoliadau a arolygwyd. Mae’n rhagorol mewn 3% o leoliadau. Mae’r rhagolygon gwella yn dda neu’n well mewn 93% o leoliadau. Performance is good or better overall in 89% of 115 settings inspected. It is excellent in 3% of settings. Prospects for improvement are good or better in 93% of settings.

3 Gweithgarwch dilynol Follow-up activity Mae angen gweithgarwch dilynol ar 17% o’r lleoliadau a arolygwyd: –mae angen gwelliant â ffocws ar un; –mae angen ymweliad monitro gan Estyn ar wyth ohonynt ; ac –mae angen monitro deg ohonynt gan yr awdurdod lleol. 17% of the settings inspected require follow- up activity: –one requires focused improvement; –eight need an Estyn monitoring visit; and –ten require local authority monitoring.

4 Deilliannau Outcomes Mae’r rhan fwyaf o blant yn cyflawni safonau da o leiaf ar draws bron pob maes dysgu a gwnânt gynnydd addas yn eu dysgu. Yn y rhan fwyaf o leoliadau, mae plant yn gwrando’n dda, yn siarad yn frwdfrydig am yr hyn a wnaed ganddynt, yn arbrofi’n frwdfrydig ag ystod o offer i wneud marciau ac yn defnyddio medrau cyfrif priodol. Most children achieve at least good standards across almost all areas of learning and make suitable progress in their learning. In most settings, children listen well, talk eagerly about what they have done, experiment enthusiastically with a range of tools to make marks and use appropriate counting skills.

5 Yn gyffredinol, nid yw medrau TGCh plant wedi’u datblygu cystal â’u medrau eraill. Mewn tua hanner y lleoliadau cyfrwng Saesneg, nid yw plant yn gwneud digon o gynnydd yn y Gymraeg. Mae lles plant yn gryfder ym mron pob lleoliad. Generally, children’s ICT skills are not as well developed as their other skills. In about half of English- medium settings, children do not make enough progress in Welsh. Children’s wellbeing is a strength in almost all settings.

6 Darpariaeth Provision Mae llawer o leoliadau yn rhoi profiadau dysgu diddorol i blant ar draws bron pob maes dysgu. Many settings provide children with interesting learning experiences across almost all areas of learning. Outdoor learning generally has a positive impact on children’s physical development. Many settings plan the development of children’s communication, numeracy and ICT skills well.

Many practitioners use a variety of teaching approaches and resources to encourage children’s independence and problem-solving skills. A few practitioners do not provide children with enough opportunities to ‘have a go’ and learn from their mistakes.

8 Mae bron pob lleoliad yn cynnig gofal, cymorth ac arweiniad da. Mae’r rhan fwyaf o leoliadau yn cynnig amgylchedd dysgu priodol i blant gyda chyd-destunau cyffrous ar gyfer dysgu drwy chwarae. Most settings provide an appropriate learning environment for children with exciting contexts for play-based learning. In one-in-five settings, the outdoor-learning environment is not used well enough or is badly resourced.

9 Arweinyddiaeth a rheolaeth Leadership and management Mae arweinyddiaeth yn dda neu’n well yn y rhan fwyaf o leoliadau. Mae gan lawer o leoliadau weithdrefnau priodol i wella ansawdd. Mewn ychydig leoliadau, nid yw arweinwyr yn rhoi digon o sylw i wella safonau a lles plant nac i wella ansawdd yr addysgu. Leadership is good or better in most settings. Many settings have appropriate procedures to improve quality. In a few settings, leaders do not give enough attention to improving children’s standards and wellbeing, or to enhancing the quality of teaching.

10 Mae gweithio mewn partneriaeth yn dda neu’n well yn y rhan fwyaf o leoliadau. Mae gan bron pob lleoliad berthynas gadarn â rhieni a gofalwyr a gwnânt ddefnydd da ar adnoddau cymunedol i ehangu profiadau dysgu plant. Partnership working is good or better in most settings. Nearly all settings have strong relationships with parents and carers and make good use of community resources to broaden children’s learning experiences.
