1 Prosiect Peilot Seminarau Addysgu Darpar Athrawon Student Teacher Seminar Pilot Project

2 Crynodeb o’r Prosiect. Brief Synopsis Cynnal seminarau mentora ar gyfer darpar athrawon cyfrwng Cymraeg mewn clwstwr o ysgolion. Conduct a series of mentoring seminars between a cluster of Schools for Welsh Medium Student Teachers.

3 Pam? Why? Anelu at fod yn ysgolion sy’n arwain yn y sector ym maes hyfforddiant darpar athrawon ac ysgolion arloesol yng Nghymru. Aim to become sector leading and innovative schools in terms of providing training for student teachers in Wales.

4 Sut? How? Cynnal seminarau mentora ar gyfer darpar athrawon mewn clwstwr o ysgolion gan ddarparu hyfforddiant arbenigol a rhannu arferion sy’n arwain yn y sector. The cluster of schools to conduct a series of seminars thus providing specialist training and opportunities to share effective practices that are sector leading.

5 Prif Ffocws Main Focus Gwella ansawdd a chysoni y ddarpariaeth ar gyfer addysg gychwynnol athrawon. Improve the provision for initial teacher education and thus ensuring consistency throughout.

6 Cyd-destun y Brifysgol The University Context Cydnabyddiaeth bod angen proses bontio fwy trylwyr rhwng yr astudiaethau yn y brifysgol a mewn ysgolion. Dathliad o’r arbenigedd sy’n bodoli o fewn y Bartneriaeth, a’r angen i ddatblygu ffyrdd o wneud y defnydd gorau posib o’r arbenigedd honno er lles ein darpar-athrawon a’r dysgwyr dan eu gofal. Ymdriniaeth fwy effeithiol o’r data sydd gennym am ein darpar-athrawon fel modd o osod targedau mwy ystyrlon a phenodol er mwyn cefnogi cynnydd. Recognition of the need to develop a more coherent transition process between the study conducted at university and in the school environment A celebration of the expertise that exists within the Partnership, and the need to develop ways of making the best use of that expertise as a means of supporting our student teachers and the learners in their care. More effective engagement with the data we have on our student teachers as a means of setting more meaningful and specific targets to support progress.

7 Cyd-destun yr Ysgolion The School Context Pob ysgol i dderbyn ac addysgu 5 darpar athro ar gyfer y ddau brofiad ysgol. Darparu sesiynau mentora arbenigol a sesiynau adfyfyrio pwrpasol yn wythnosol. Gweithredu ar yr arweiniad yn ystod yr wythnos ganlynol. Cydweithio’n agos gyda thiwtoriaid cyswllt y Brifysgol i ddarparu cyngor ac arweiniad arbenigol. Schools to accept and educate 5 student teachers for each school placement. Provide weekly specialist mentoring and reflective sessions. Implement on the guidance provided during the week that follows. Collaborate with University link tutors to provide specialist guidance and advice.

Darpar athrawon i drafod cynnydd gyda’u mentoriaid yn yr ysgol Ail ymgynnull yn Ysgol y Strade. Treulio awr yn adfyfyrio ar eu cynnydd a rhannu arfer dda cyn mynychu seminar ar ddefnydd effeithiol o Ddata. Y cylchdro’n parhau............. Student teachers to convene at Ysgol y Preseli to attend a seminar on Digital Developments in the Classroom. Students teachers to trial initial ideas in their schools. Student teachers to discuss progress with their school mentors. Re-convene at Ysgol y Strade to attend an hour long reflective session before taking part in a seminar on the effective use of Data. The cycle continues..........

12 Defnyddio’r canran o arsylwadau da ac ardderchog fel llinyn mesur. 75% o ddarpar athrawon yn cael eu graddio’n dda/ ardderchog erbyn diwedd PAP1 a 100% yn cael eu graddio’n dda/ardderchog erbyn diwedd PAP2. Use the percentage of good and excellent observations to measure success. 75% of student teachers to achieve good/excellent grade at end of PTE1 and 100% to achieve good/excellent at end of PTE2. 13 Unrhyw fanteision eraill? Any other advantages? Mae’r seminarau’n gyfle i uwch-sgilio staff yr Ysgol trwy rannu arfer dda a sicrhau bod darpar athrawon yn derbyn y gefnogaeth sydd angen arnynt. The seminars can also be seen as an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge of existing teachers thus improving the support provided for student teachers.
