5. Evaporation What occurs during evaporation? Heat from the Sun makes water rise into the air as vapor extends into the skies forming clouds

6. Condensation What is condensation? Water is in a gaseous state in the air When it cools down it turns into vapor This vapor materializes in the form of cloud droplets

7. Precipitation What is precipitation? Term often used by meteorologists Water falling to the Earth’s surface due to gravitational pull is called precipitation Can take the form of rain, sleet, hail or snow
