3. Who is BRYC? ACT SCORES — DID YOU KNOW.. In 2015, BRYC Seniors averaged a composite score of 22.3. In comparison, the national and Louisiana averages are 21.0 and 19.2, respectively. Hardworking Fellows are seeing great results! SCHOLARSHIPS — DID YOU KNOW… The 29 members of BRYC's Class of 2015 were accepted to 45 different colleges and collectively offered more than $1.5 million in scholarships, including the prestigious Dell and QuestBridge scholarships. PERSISTENCE — DID YOU KNOW… 90% of BRYC graduates, or "College Fellows," attend or have graduated from college. In comparison, only 11% of low- income, first generation students nationally obtain a bachelor’s degree within six years of matriculation (Engle & Tinto, 2008).

Business Problem –Current System of Collecting Students’ grades could induce.... –Human Error –Honesty Issues –Work Overload or Fatigue Information System Opportunity – added Business Value (streamline processes, reduce errors, reduce time) –A strategic system that will save unnecessary time manually entering student academic data, including grades and progress reports –eliminates the manual process of collecting and entering grades by hand -BRYC fellows and staff. – Initial design is complete, and the LSU ISDS department will continue to work with BRYC to further develop and implement the grade collection and reporting system. 6. ​Automated system will send a request via email to each individual fellow’s teacher(s) every three weeks. Teachers will enter grades and a brief comment which will be transmitted to BRYC staff & mentors. Student GradesStudent Grades Teachers will click on the link in the email and fill out the survey. A reminder email will be sent if original email is not responded to within 48 hours Grade Notification & Data Collection
