Selective breeding for wheat with increased yields
Research into fertilizers
Also included rice (another leading food staple)
Improved Irrigation
Made it so many developing countries went from having food shortages to food surplus
Problems:
Rely on fertilizers and irrigation
Plant improvements based on selection have leveled off
Not accepted in all places (Africa)
