4 MSRA (Form of Staph Infection)
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus Found in the nostrils, and on the skin and hair of warm-blooded animals. Plenty of healthy people carry staph without being infected by it. In fact, 25%-30% of population have staph bacteria in our noses.

5 MSRA (continued) Staph can usually be treated with antibiotics. But over the decades, some strains of staph have become resistant to antibiotics MRSA was first discovered in 1961. Now resistant to methicillin, amoxicillin, penicillin, oxacillin, and other antibiotics. Some antibiotics still work, MRSA is constantly adapting. MRSA is spread by contact.
