7 Baptism is a term that is most commonly applied to a religious act of purification by water and is practiced in various religions including Christianity. WHAT IS BAPTISM? T o i m m e r s e, s u b m e r g e ".

8 Why? Why do Christians baptise their children? The Christian Church teaches that all people are born with initial sin. The Church says that children should be Baptised as soon as possible to remove this sin. The process of putting water on the babies head is symbolic of washing their sin away.
