8. When solar/wind sources are generating more electricity than needed, excess electricity is used to split water into H 2 and O 2. The H 2 is stored for later use. At night, or on cloudy days, the H 2 feeds the fuel cell and it will produce electricity. This will also be the main source of power for heating the home in the winter.

10. Night Time Battery The battery can store enough electricity to run the home at night without heat demands.

11. Winter Heat/Emergency The fuel cell will provide backup when the battery runs low and when electric demand is high; in winter when the house is being heated.
