3. CENTENNIAL ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE Dianne Curtis ZI President 2010-2012 The Centennial Anniversary Committee was established in 2010 by President Dianne Curtis to propose ways and means of celebrating our 100 th Anniversary in 2019 with a Centennial History and program of events.

7. ACHIEVEMENTS TO DATE Internationally (3) April Hann Lanford of the Conservation Center, Chicago with Zonta artifacts Artifacts were assessed by a professional Conservator A program of preservation was created

8. ACHIEVEMENTS TO DATE Internationally (4) D6 History working bee July 2013 Photographic, film and video images, slides, and sound recordings were sorted by Zontians from District 6 and will be transferred to modern technology where appropriate

9. ACHIEVEMENTS TO DATE Internationally (5) Joan Hull with the Zonta Library Collection Newly-bound copies of our Zontian Magazine were added to our Library Collection, which is being sorted and catalogued by Joan Hull

10. ACHIEVEMENTS TO DATE Internationally (6) Communications Coordinator Staff Archivist Kate Trusk Edrinn ZI Communications Coordinator Kate was appointed Staff Archivist, and helped to create a policy for management of our archival materials

11. DISTRICT ACTION European District Historians and Archivists, Hamburg, November 2013 Governors appointed District Historians and Archivists. This group of European historians and archivists met in Hamburg to share ideas and expertise

12. DISTRICT & CLUB ARCHIVISTS Evelyn Guenther, D9 Archivists were asked to sort and review archival materials create an inventory of items ensure secure storage for the collection Donna Campbell, D23 and Curatorial Staff, Gold Museum

13. DISTRICT HISTORIANS Eva Nielsen, CAC Committee, Liaison to Districts With guidelines from Eva Nielsen and Ronda Walker, District & Club Historians encouraged clubs to create histories in brief and put them on their club websites Ronda Walker, CAC Committee Vice-Chairman, Liaison to Clubs

14. ACTION IN 2014-2016 Governors Maria Jose Landeira Oestergaard, ZI President 2014-2016 Under the leadership of 2014-2016 President Maria Jose, Governors will appoint and encourage District Historians, Archivists and Committee Chairmen to work with the ZI Centennial Committee

15. ACTION IN 2014-2016 District Committee Chairmen Contact list created in 2013 by D5 Centennial Chair Joyce Combs (Lt. Governor 2014-2016) District Committee Chairmen will maintain and circulate contact details of Club Historians and their Presidents communicate with them as appropriate and report district and club progress on: management + storage of archives efforts to create oral histories meeting deadlines for written histories plans for celebratory events in 2019

16. ACTION IN 2014-2016 District Historians ZC Milwaukee history as a video on their club website District Historians will ensure that remaining club histories are submitted by the extended deadline of 31 December 2014 create a District history by 1 May 2016 encourage uploading of histories on to websites as resource material for the Centennial history Author Note: the District Historian may also be the District Committee Chairman

17. ACTION IN 2014-2016 Club Presidents Donna Campbell, President of the Zonta Club of Ballarat Club Presidents will appoint and encourage Zontians to continue work on club archives and history check the ZI website for new information from the Centennial Anniversary Committee

ACTION IN 2014-2016 International PIP Val Sarah, Chairman, left with Beryl McMillan 2014-2016 Co-Chairman The Centennial Anniversary Committee welcomes two new members Joan Hull and Erlinda Panlilio. We will: maintain regular e- newsletter contact assist in appointment of Centennial History Author(s) and Publisher develop plans to celebrate Centennial year 2019 through events and exhibitions
