Ways to Earn Cougar Cash!!  You will record the money you earn in your deposit chart at the end of every period  At the end of each day, you will total the change you have earned to come up with a grand total.  With your grand total, you will be able to earn some fabulous prizes during life skills!!  Before we discuss the prizes, lets learn how to earn….

Work Quietly Examples  Sitting in chair and working quietly on activity  Quiet mouth and working on worksheet.  Reading quietly  Accepting work quietly given by teacher  Accepting homework assignments quietly Nonexamples  Head on desk and not working appropriately  Complaining about work  Refusing to do work  Whining  Making inappropriate noises

4. 2. Stay On-Task Examples  Working on the activity or assignment continuously.  Participate appropriately in lesson  Remain focused on subject and activity given by teacher. Nonexamples  Making statements that are not related to the subject or assignment  Making inappropriate noises

9. What happens if I continue to break the rules? DUGOUT TIME: If I break one of the rules, my teacher may give me 1 warning. If I break a rule after the warning, I will go to the dugout. When I am in the dugout, I cannot earn Cougar Cash during that time. When I show my teacher that I can follow the rules for at least 2 minutes, she will take me out of the dugout, and I can start earning money again. I should not ask the teacher to take me out of the dugout or tell her that I am following the rules now.

10. What should I do when others students earn money but I don’t? Examples  Begin working quietly so I can earn money the next time  Start my homework or read for my reading log  Begin to model appropriate behavior for other students  ***REMEMBER, you still earning money even while accessing a reward Nonexamples  Complain or whine about not earning money  Refuse to do work  Make comments that are not related to the activity
