2 MEDIA STRATEGY Print Focus on the print outlets that have served us well previously, the Metro Daily Telegraph Sport Magazine Local Press Additional outlets for 2016 Time Out Outdoor Focus on larger sites to drive event awareness Manchester Digital sites – subject to support from Manchester City Council Salford Digital sites – subject to support from Salford City Council Digital advertising Facebook and Twitter campaigns to drive engagement with fans. Rocket fuel (contextual targeting around rugby content) form the spine of the digital campaign.

3 We want every club in Lancashire, Cheshire and the surrounding counties to know that the World Rugby U20 Championship is taking place in Manchester next June. Our aim is to provide clubs with the tools to assist in the engagement programme. MARKETING & PR – Working with our clubs What can we do to get every club in Lancashire and Cheshire involved in the event? What would engagement look like for you? Competitions to form the guard of honour for your mini and junior sections? Ticket sales determines entry? Cash back incentive for clubs? Would this motivate members to buy?

4 For the event to be successful it is important that we engage with our clubs and schools in the area, not only to help drive ticket sales, but also to support wider engagement with the event, either through volunteering, training locations or outreach programmes. Further ideas under consideration Trophy Tour hosting Working with club partners to engage in the event, through ticket sales, hosting experiences and/or event sponsorship. MARKETING & PR – Working with our clubs Design competitions to showcase club participation, with winning entries forming part of the city and stadium dressing. Prizes for winning entries to include tickets to match days alongside meet and greet experiences.
