2 Student Exchange: Programmes 1/2 Erasmus for students from EU countries (mainly) Many partner schools in Europe Erasmus grant No tuition fees Free mover Individual  find your own school with suitable courses Tuition fee must be paid  TRY to get a grant from International Office of Savonia.

3 Also non-EU students can (try to) apply to Erasmus- partner schools  some partner schools have accepted also non-EU students to Erasmus places.  grants, no tuition fees. Student Exchange: Programmes 2/2

4 Where to apply? List of the Erasmus partner schools on Moodle Partner schools for example in Germany, Austria, France, Poland, Hungary, the Netherlands, Sweden…

5 Furthermore… Savonia has new agreement (non- Erasmus) in St. Petersburg

6 About Erasmus- programme… Exchange at least 3 months First-year studies must be completed Applying always in cooperation with school, never on your own. Before exchange: Plan your studies carefully: Learning Agreement between schools At least 4.8 credits every month

7 About Erasmus-programme… Erasmus-grants 2010 – 2011: 3 – 4 months600 – 800 € 5 – 6 months1000 – 1200 € 7 – 8 months1400 – 1600 € 9 – 10 months1800-2000 €

8 Applying process 1/3 Read information on Moodle Please note that the the average grade of compulsory English language courses should be at least 3. An English language test for students without an average grade in English; e.g. transferred credits. Read webpages of the partner schools very well!!! Make a top three list of possible schools.

9 Applying process 2/3 Application = 1 x A4 in English (Deutsch, svenska..) Why to go abroad? Where and why? One or two semesters? Top 3 list Cv & transcript of records (as attachment) All documents for academic year 2011-2012 to Inka-Mari (A-1056) IN MARCH 2011.

10 Applying process 3/3 In April 2011 you will get the answer from Savonia Next step: Application to exchange school Student organizes practicalities mainly herself/himself, for example travelling, insurance, possible grants, accommodation, permit of residence, bank accounts etc etc…  Your own motivation is the most important thing if you are planning an exchange.
