2 Standards of Living & Quality of Life IndicatorsDeveloped CountriesDeveloping Countries 1. Population Growth Rate (Natural Increase) Increase is moderate to low. There can even be a negative population growth rate (if the death rate is higher than the birth rate). Increase is usually very high.

Population Age Distribution and Population Pyramid Population is either evenly distributed between age groups or may consist of an older population with fewer young people. Because of poor health care and poor nutrition, many babies die.
