True Israel Remains Faithful I Kings 19—Elijah was dejected –19:4 But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. –19:10 And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

True Israel Makes a Real Change Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

8. True Israel Makes a Real Change Physical Israel failed to do most of what is commanded here: –12:3—treat others with humility Matthew 9:11; Luke 18:9-12 –12:9-10—love one another Luke 10:30-37 –12:11—zealous in serving the Lord Romans 10:2
