2. Mark 16:15 GO “And he said unto them, GO ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” For whom or whose benefit do we obey this commandment?

3. Is It For God? Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” If God did all the great things this passage and many others record He did, we should obey this commandment for Him.

4. Is It For Jesus? John 14:6-7 – “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.” If Jesus is the way unto heaven, we should obey this commandment for Him.

5. Is It For The Church? Acts 2:47 – “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” If the Lord adds to the church all that are saved, we should obey this commandment for the church.

6. Is It For Those That We Teach? Mark 12:29-31 – “And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these” If we love our neighbor (those whom we teach) we should obey this commandment for those that we teach..

7. Is It For Ourselves? Matthew 6:33 – “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” If we seek first the kingdom of God, we need to obey this commandment for ourselves.
