2 Introduction Monitoring roads maintenance. Measuring and tracking changes in the road’s response to different vehicles.

3 Project Motivation Today we have “Wisdom Stone- generation A” Generation A didn’t provide the requested goals (Sufficient low power, low SNR, detector’s sensitivity) The creation of generation B

4 Project goals Finding a sensor which will produce less noise, and have a higher sensitivity than the one that is used for Generation A. (“Just in case”- save the option for assembling two sensors on the sampler board). Design of a new power board which will comply with the new demands of voltage and power.

15  Omitting the unnecessary “Sampler 2” board (mechanical design).  Adding two small boards upon the Sampler board for controlling the axis which the sensors work on.  Adding an LDO (Low Noise Dropout Regulator) series with DC\DC for better SNR.  Keeping the digital sensor from Generation A to sample the vibrations, because the analog sensors are too sensitive for measuring them. 16 Looking Towards Part B… Changing of the existing software:- 01.01.15 * Learning the current software * Complete the missing function Assembling the entire parts on the boards -15.02.15 Activating the boards -15.03.15 Burning the software on to the main board -01.04.15 Integration – operating the complete and final “Wisdom Stone” -01.05.15

17  Still early to know if the goals of the project were achieved (low noise, low power consumption). It would be tested on the second part.  Using various ways for ensuring low noise (LDO, single to differential, ultra noise components)  Working by certain principles to ensure for minimizing mistakes in manufacturing (puppet checking, mark by colors, stick to several sketching principles) In Summary…
