3 Mission Statement/Coaching Philosophy:  To provide student/athletes with an opportunity to play Lacrosse in a successful and organized program that offers long term stability and growth.  Our overall objective is to have these student/athletes learn to love the game of lacrosse in a safe environment and provide a framework where each athlete can give his best effort, and be rewarded for their success and hard work on and off the field.  Coaching is more than about winning, it is about teaching life-lessons, the concept of “TEAM” and the chance to leave a lasting impression on the athlete and help them to develop into well-rounded young men that are valuable contributors to their community. Lakeshore Lacrosse Team All of the coaches for the Lakeshore Lacrosse program have training certification from US Lacrosse and Positive Coaching Alliance. The Lakeshore Lacrosse Team consists of student/athletes who attend Shorewood, Whitefish Bay and Nicolet high schools. Also included are players that attend a school and that school does not have a lacrosse team but live in any of the respective school districts. The Lakeshore Team is supported by the Shorewood Recreation and Northshore Recreation Lacrosse programs who feed into the respective high schools.

5 Team Goals and Expectations Team Goals Develop fundamentally sound lacrosse players. Improve every time we take the field – practice and games. Consistent program structure – Youth through High School. Stress TEAM! Have FUN! Coaches Expectations BE COMMITED – COACHES, PLAYERS AND PARENTS! Be on time! Communicate…miss games or practice. Players should let the coaches know in advance. Respect your coaches, teammates, referees and the game of lacrosse. Work hard every day. Hard work at practice will be rewarded with playing time in games. Lead by example – “ Take someone with you”. Maintain personal integrity on and off the field. The student/athletes respective school’s code of conduct will be enforced
