2 Welcome to Cy-Fair Soccer Cy-Fair Soccer is a Non-Profit 501(c)3 Charitable Corporation. Cy-Fair Soccer is run by an all-volunteer board of directors. We depend on volunteers to make our organization a success.

3 TYSA and STYSA Timberline Youth Soccer Association (TYSA) is a member organization of a hierarchy organizations that govern recreational and competitive youth soccer in the US. South Texas Youth Soccer Association (STYSA) is TYSA’s immediate parent organization.

4 TYSA and STYSA All play is sanctioned by FIFA (The International Soccer Federation). FIFA sanctions USSF (United States Soccer Federation), which in turn sanctions the United States Youth Soccer Association, which in turn sanctions STYSA. Cy-Fair Soccer Club is one (1) of ten (10) members of TYSA.

7 The Fees that we collect go towards…. Field Maintenance ◦ Cy-Fair Soccer leases three (3) fields; Dyess Park, Zube Park, and Matzke Park. Uniforms State Organization and Local Fees Referees Lease and maintain business office

8 Fundraiser Program Fundraiser Required for each team participating in the Spring Season: Initial fee covers approximately 70% of the cost/player. This spring’s fundraiser is provided by City Brew. ◦ Each player required to sell six (6) bags of coffee for $10, maximum two (2) players per family, or… ◦ Thirty ($30) dollar buy-out per player. Fundraisers help make our fees more affordable for our members.

9 Code of Conduct Players and Parents are expected to sign a Code of Conduct Form. Forms turned into office by a team representative within 1 week after start of season. Coaches are responsible for players and parents conduct.

10 First Touch Program (FTP) The First Touch Program is designed to ensure young players (U5) receive quality training during their first year of soccer. Players receive instruction from licensed and professional trainers from Dynamos Select Soccer. Emphasis of First Touch Program is for the kids to have fun and develop as a player.

11 First Touch Program First Touch begins February 6, 2013 Wednesdays from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM Program runs for 9 weeks, ends April 10 th No Training on March 13 (Spring Break) Meet on Field 6 near Gazebo.

12 First Touch Program Players divided into smaller play groups. Staff trainers work with multiple player groups. Uniform color for each group; meet with same group each week. Big game at end of season to allow young players to show off skills. Medals provided to all participants.

13 Future Stars Included in registration fee; available to all U6 – U8 players Each age group trains with Dynamo’s Select Trainers ◦ U8 Boys/Girls: Mondays 5:30 – 6:30 PM ◦ U7 Boys/Girls: Tuesdays 5:30 – 6:30 PM ◦ U6 Boys/Girls: Thursdays 5:30 – 6:30 PM U6 Boys/Girls teams may practice one (1) other evening; location/time determined by coach.

14 U6 Players 3 v 3 Format, No. 3 ball Smallest Fields and Goals Volunteer Coach Four (4) 8 minute periods; 2 minutes between periods, 5 minute half No “Designated” Goal Keeper All players are required to play 50% of each game.

15 U7 – U8 Players New Program for 2012/2013 - subsidized by Cy-Fair Soccer Club and Dynamos Select Soccer ◦ Dynamos Select Soccer will provide professional training for each U7, U8 individual team. ◦ Head trainer determines curriculum; staff trainers train with individual teams. ◦ Staff Trainers also participate in as many Saturday league games as possible.

16 U7 – U8 Players Program includes three (3) weeks of group training. ◦ Staff trainers will be assigned to each team to assist with player/coach development. Group training with Dynamo’s Select Trainers for 1 st three weeks…. ◦ U8 Boys/Girls: Mondays 5:30 – 6:30 PM ◦ U7 Boys/Girls: Tuesdays 5:30 – 6:30 PM

17 U7 – U8 Players Team training with Dynamo’s Select Trainers 1 st 3 weeks… ◦ U8 Boys/Girls: Wednesdays 6:45 – 7:45 PM ◦ U7 Boys/Girls: Thursdays 6:45 – 7:45 PM Team training with Dynamo’s Select Trainers after 3 weeks… ◦ U8 Boys/Girls: Mondays 5:30 – 6:30 PM ◦ U7 Boys/Girls: Tuesdays 5:30 – 6:30 PM Teams may practice one (1) other evening; location/time determined by coach.

18 U7 – U8 Players Each team must have active volunteer coach. ◦ Staff trainer provides instruction during training and 1 st game; volunteer coach works in concert with trainer and coaches during remaining games. Training staff will implement a US Soccer Curriculum which is age appropriate. Focus is player development rather than team development.

19 U7 – U8 Players 4 v 4 Format, No. 3 ball Smaller Fields and Goals Format provides for more touches per player Four (4) 10 minute periods; 2 minutes between periods, 5 minute half No “Designated” Goal Keeper All players are required to play 50% of each game.

20 U9 – U10 Players 6 v 6 Format, No. 4 ball Medium-sized Fields and Goals Two (2) 25 minute periods; 5 minute half- time Goal Keeper introduced, 5 field players Off side rule in place All players are required to play 50% of each game.

21 Academy Program Dynamo Select Soccer offers an Academy program for all U9 and U10 age players. The purpose of this program is to provide an advanced training program for those players that desire a more focused training approach. Full and Half Academy options for Cy-Fair Soccer Club players.

22 U9-U10 Scoring System 3 points for a win 1 point for a tie Zero points for loss No additional points for goals scored Games decided by a difference of 7 goals or more will result in zero points awarded to winning team!

23 Team Manager Each team is required to have a team manager. The team manager assists the coach/trainer with team communication. Register as team manager through “GotSoccer” system.

25 Equipment Needs Players ◦ Ball, shin guards, proper shoes, weather appropriate clothing for training, water bottle. Coaches ◦ Cones, extra ball provided by Cy-Fair Soccer. ◦ Optional: bibs/vests, air pump, first aid kit, ice and bags, extra water, portable goals.

26 Important Dates (Div. 4) Start of Season: February 16, 2013 Future Stars Training begins week of February 4, 2013 First Touch: February 6, 2013 End of Season Tournament: April 27 and 28, 2013 No games March 16 (Spring Break) and March 30 (Easter Weekend)
