3 What is ENAP? © ETSI 2015. All rights reserved An EN is adopted by the application of the EN Approval Procedure (ENAP). ENAP is comprised of a public enquiry and a weighted national vote performed in a single process, named Approval Process (AP) Articles 13.4 and 13.5 of the Rules of Procedure.

5 Approval Process (AP) e.g AP20150723 The NSOs perform the AP (public enquiry and weighted national vote), which currently takes 120 days. The resulting national comments and the national position (vote) are then submitted to the ETSI Secretariat. © ETSI 2015. All rights reserved Approval Process Who?Who? Why? How does it work? 6 Why are we reducing the duration of AP? Industry demands that the ENs be produced in a more timely fashion. Our target is to reduce the time for AP from 120 days to 60 days by 2020.
