I DEAS FOR T RANSFORMING THE 4 TH S UNDAY S ERVICE Thank Local Heroes Day- Invite Fire Fighters, Police Officers, and Emergency Medical Personnel for a special recognition service and lunch at the church “Meet the Teacher” Sundays – Kids invite their school teacher, principal, cafeteria worker etc. & sit by them during worship. Invite local government leaders to worship service. Recognize those who are able to attend and pray for them.

4. I DEAS FOR T RANSFORMING THE 4 TH S UNDAY S ERVICE ( CONT.) Youth Ministers or Guest Speakers and Choirs for 4 th Sunday Service. YPD Dep. Should lead the entire order of service to include church announcements, offering (ushering) etc. Young People Choir – Entire group ages 21-50 join the youth to sing with the youth choir on Sundays with T-Shirts and Dressed Down apparel- Songs of Praise Fun Sundays (Church Activities and Games after Church)

C OMMUNITY A CTIVITIES After School/Youth Development Program; Focus on S.T.E.M Bright Future Program: Two Week Internship During Summer Schedule Tours for the Youth in the Church/Community to visit (BMW, Continental Tire, International Paper, Boeing etc. Move It- Recruit volunteers to wear church T-Shirts and help move in college students as a local college dorm (s). Snacks for Teacher Workday – Select local school. Prepare & Deliver baskets of snakes with a note of thanks and a prayer for the school year.

6. C OMMUNITY A CTIVITIES ( CONT.) Sponsor for a local pregnancy center of Sanctity of Human Life Sunday Car Care Clinic – Free Oil & Lube change for single moms and widows in the community. Welcome Wagon – Deliver Welcome baskets with information about our church. Youth Mentoring Sessions (Events) – Male and Female outings. Outreach Committee – Create a way for youth to contact individuals via phone or email for personal concerns or questions. Adopt – A-Grandparent Program – Program to check in or call elderly members of the church or community.

7. Valentine Weekend Dinner for Christ – Dinner to celebrate Christ and to let single and widowed individuals know we love them Youth and Middle Age Bible Study (Quarterly) – 2/12,5/13,8/12,11/11 Black History Month Learning Activities Biggest Workday Ever – Plan Dozens of projects, involving all age groups. Challenge members to commit at least 2 hours for project around the community. Single/Newly Wed/Relationship Seminars - Invite couples/singles to seminars. Each session is a topical Bible Study about marriage, with homework & handouts. At completion, couples get a certificate of completion (Could be on-going). Young People’s Lock-In- Fun night at the church with breakout sessions and activities. COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES (CONT.)
