Rules are a principles or conditions that customarily govern behavior. Rules have consequences when they are broken or not adhered to. Champ rules are posted on the wall. Procedures are those routines, or patterns of behavior, that we will follow each day in class. These routines are intended to help make our classroom an efficient, productive, and positive learning environment for everyone.

3 CLASSROOM RULES Rules:
Students must follow School’s Champ Rules everyday. If Champ Rules are not followed, students must accept appropriate consequences. Negative and/or disruptive behavior will result in disciplinary actions according to the school’s consequence management plan.

4 CLASSROOM RULES Students must come to class ready to learn, and bring all materials to class at all times. Homework assignments must be turned in at the beginning of class. Assignments due during class will be turned in before class is over. Note writing or passing notes are not allowed during instructional time. RESPECT OTHERS

Tardy Students: You must have a note from front office or another teacher. Please enter the room quietly without interrupting other students.

10 CLASSROOM RULES AND PROCEDURES
While you are working: Make sure you read or listen to the directions about your work and understand the directions. If you didn’t understand, quietly ask for help from other students sitting around you. If you are asked to help, be polite and help. Talking to each other should be no louder than a whisper. Respect each other and be friendly. Use your time wisely. Put forth your best effort to finish your work on time.

11 CLASSROOM RULES AND PROCEDURES
After you have completed your work: Check your work and the directions one more time to see if you missed anything or did something incorrectly. Check to see if the heading is written correctly on your paper. If the assignment is to be turned in, do so. If appropriate, read quietly in your seat.

12 CLASSROOM RULES AND PROCEDURES
Previously absent students: You are responsible to make up your own work. Every student will acquire at least 2 homework buddies. You will exchange phone numbers with these buddies. When you are absent, you should contact your buddies to find out what information was missed and what is due upon your return. If assignments/worksheets were handed out, it is your responsibility to ask the teacher for those sheets. In addition, you should also check the “Make-up Folder” folder for missed assignments. It is YOUR responsibility to obtain and turn in all missed assignments.

13 CLASSROOM RULES AND PROCEDURES
Materials and Equipment What to bring to class: everything on your supply list; no excuses. Pencil Sharpener: Since you will use ink pens in this class except when using scantrons, there is no need for sharpening pencils as they will be provided for you when needed. Other room equipment/materials: Respect the equipment that has been purchased for students to enhance learning.
