2 2 Economic Impacts Through August 2014, the RTD Eagle P3 Project added more than $1 billion to the local economy DTP Wages Paid$145 million Equipment, services and supplies$347 million Subcontractors$522 million DTP currently has more than 1,625 employees, with a total of 5,230 employees working on the project to date DTP has subcontracted to more than 620 firms that employ crews and purchase supplies locally DTP directly contracts with local certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)/Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) – currently on track to exceed our 20% commitment to both DBEs/SBEs

3 3 Design Progress Design Civil design work almost 100 percent complete Typical design questions and issues continue to be raised during construction and are handled by DTP with RTD oversight Safety certification of the designs is progressing well Construction is 63 percent complete and on schedule for revenue service in 2016 Track crew works on crossover switch on approach to Denver Airport Station

4 4 Systems Progress Systems Traction power substation installation far along Energizing from the Xcel grid scheduled for fall Overhead wire installation nearly complete along East Rail Line Installation of train control equipment houses under way throughout the project in advance of other wayside equipment installations, including grade crossing equipment Track gantry (foreground) and RTD substation (background) at Sandown will feed power to the East Rail Line

5 5 Commuter Rail Vehicle All 50 car bodies from the base order are in Hyundai Rotem’s assembly facility in Philadelphia Six option car bodies to arrive in plant by October; 10 additional cars due in 2015 First cars completed, awaiting final inspection and shipment to Denver this fall Public viewing tentatively planned in mid-November; official announcement forthcoming

6 6 Maintenance Facility Building completed, Denver has issued Certificate of Occupancy Operations Control Center near completion Grading work for drainage continuing across the site OCS poles and yard light poles installed Ballast and track work well under way Separate train wash building closed in, wash system installation under way The building structure is complete; track and power installation under way

7 7 Northwest Rail Westminster Segment 6 miles from Denver Union Station to Westminster Station at 71st/Irving Three construction areas: –Denver –Adams County –Westminster Electrified Commuter Rail 6 major bridges (5 rail, 1 road) 11 minute travel time Opens 2016; current plan is to open after East and before Gold Westminster Station looking southwest

9 9 Northwest Rail Westminster Segment Operations Plan* Northbound weekdays: –30 minute headways 5:43-8:13 am, 3:13-6:43 pm –60-minute headways off-peak until 10:13 pm Southbound weekdays: –30 minute headways 6:05-8:35 am, 3:35-6:35 pm –60-minute headways off-peak until 9:35 pm Northbound weekends: –60-minute headways 6:13 am-10:13 pm Southbound weekends: –60-minute headways 5:35 am-9:35 pm Gold Line/Northwest Rail Westminster Segment * Northbound trips stop at Pecos Junction Station; southbound trains do not stop; Northwest trains do not stop at 41st/Fox

10 10 Northwest Rail Westminster TOD Original plan was surface parking Westminster will build structured parking for 350 vehicles on opening day; expand to 1,000 in 2030 Station enhancements include connection to new Little Dry Creek park area Westminster Station looking northeast over new regional park

11 11 East Rail Line 40th Avenue between Blake to York streets reopened on June 30 after 18-month closure Platform concrete pours and canopy work underway Most corridor protection barrier construction nearing completion At-grade crossings well under way Work crew walks through Triple-Stack Underpass at DIA
