CATEGORY - COURSE ACTIONS  Planted more trees between the 1 st & 2 nd fairways  Added a marker post to the 5 th & 14 th fairway to highlight the dog-leg  Separated the 6 th and 15 th tees with flower beds  Made a feature of the 13 th hole with flower beds and fencing  Course signage is in the process of being upgraded  Looking at opportunities to improve tee-signage  Engaged with a Hydrologist to try and understand why the course is flooding in certain areas. CATEGORY – OPEN COMMUNICATION ACTIONS  Actively encouraging feedback from the membership about the state of the course.  Using feedback to help target improvements.  Sharing information and rationale behind decisions  Improved communication between Greens Committee and greens staff.  Using Council as the decision making forum.  Newsletters on the website. Against the challenges of this!

8. CATEGORY – IMPROVED EFFECIENCIES ACTIONS  Updating the “course status” telephone message daily.  Trying to keep the course open and create a longer playing season.  Closed for 20 days in 2012, 8 of which were for snow.  Clear ruling on use of mats in winter.  Update course policies & procedures - Help here please  Maximising the effectiveness of our greens staff at the times when we need them most.  Management of winter programme  Flexed their working hours Against the challenges of this! “We’ve always done it that way” So implementing any CHANGE may take time….

9.  We will always try to deliver the golf course to the highest possible standard.  Our greens staff are committed and dedicated to their work.  We work effectively within the constraints of a limited budget.  We want to create a culture of open communication across the membership.  We recognise the need for change and embrace it.

10. We would ask our membership to please;  Help us keep the golf course maintained to a high standard  Replace divots  Repair pitch marks  Report damage  Engage with the greens staff and pass on your gratitude  Understand that we can’t do everything that perhaps we would like to given the financial constraints  Recommend areas of improvement  Be positive with your feedback  Accept that change is required to move our golf club forward THANK YOU
