Needed to make the sentence’s meaning clear or complete Not separated by commas Non-Essential Adds extra information to the sentence Separated from rest of sentence by commas

4 Non-Essential or Essential?
The horse Persephone is for sale. Oedipus, my sister’s newest horse, is very fuzzy. My sister names her animals after Greek mythology, her favorite subject in college. My sister’s horse Reflection isn’t named after a Greek because she bought him from someone who had already named him.
