3 Forms A form is a database object that displays data from one or more tables or queries in a format that is easy to read. ▫It is a great format for entering data. ▫A form can also just let you see one record at a time. The Form Wizard allows you to create a simple form quickly.

4 Parts of a Form A Form Header contains the information that will be at the top of the form. The Detail section contains the data from the table. The Form Footer contain information that will be at the bottom of each form.

6 Controls A bound control is connected to a field in the record source (table) and is used to display, enter and update data. ▫Bound Controls in this example:  Student ID  Last Name An unbound control is not connected to a records source (table). ▫Unbound Controls in this example:  The label you just made  The title  Member Form

8 Using a Report A report is a database object that display data from one or more tables or queries in a format that has an appearance similar to a printed report. The Report Wizard creates a simple report quickly.

9 Parts of a Report A Report Header shows up at the beginning of the report at the top. We have no Report Footer which would show up ONLY on the last page of the report. We also used a Page Header which shows up at the top of each page. We used a Page Footer, which shows up at the bottom of each page. We have a Group Header which contains the name of the grouping used. We could have a Group Footer which can contain totals or other information used in grouping used. The Detail section contains the records from our table.

10 Grouping Grouping organizes or categorizes the records by a particular field. In the example, they are grouped by Grade.
