3 The mission of the Council on Practices and Standards, (CoPS): The mission of this Council is development and enhancement of the (Safety, Health, and Environmental) SH&E Body of Knowledge (BoK) as the mentor of Goal #5 under the ASSE Strategic Plan. We have 21,000 practice specialty memberships There are about another 2,500 branch members There are about 5,300 CIG members Total membership is almost 29,000 60% of the ASSE membership is in a practice specialty or CIG Council on Practices and Standards What is the Involvement Now 7

10 In 1995 Practice Specialties produced fewer than 200 pages of content in total. In 2012 that number is almost 3,600 pages of technical content. We do NOT publish newsletters. We publish technical SH&E electronic magazines (E-Zines)!!! Council on Practices and Standards Technical Publications 10

11  Published tri-annually  Electronic delivery  Includes interviews and articles  hot topics and regulatory updates  Members can submit articles for  publication to earn COCs.
