CPU Socket Is a mechanical connection that holds the CPU and allows it to communicate with the motherboard. North bridge Controller Is the circuitry that interfaces the CPU with the faster components in the system. South bridge Controller Is a chip that controls all the computers input/output devices. Memory Slot -It is also called as memory banks. - used to connect RAM and get faster performance of computer. CMOS Battery Gives the board a small amount of power in order to store some vital data in the computer. IDE Connector It is a connector that connects to a Hard disk and Floppy disk. SATA Connector It has a capability of faster performan ce than IDE connector. PCI Slot Used to provide a medium to expand the capabilities of the computer by adding Modem cards, audio cards and etc. ATX power connector Is a space provided on a device which makes the device to get an appropriate amount of electricity needed.
