1 Biomes- Temperate Grassland

2 Climate Annual Rainfall- seasonal rain, usually rains in the spring and early summer. The average rainfall is about 50.8 to 88.9 cm or rain (20-35 inches). Average temperature- The temperature varies from 100 degrees to -30 degrees fahrenheit in the winter. Seasons- They have a very cold winter to warm spring then to very hot summer to cold fall.

3 Abiotic Factors Soil condition- Fertile with rich nutrients and minerals Radiant energy- they have the least amount ( forests had the highest) Proximity to water- maybe some rivers, lakes, or streams

4 Dominant plants Dominant Plants- Grasses are the type of plants that predominate the temperate grasslands. Shrubs and trees occur very rarely in this biome. There are several types of grasses that grow in the grassland biome, such as buffalo grass, ryegrass, foxtail, wild oats, and purple needlegrass.

5 Dominant animals Dominant Animals- Bison,deer, horses, coyotes, prairie dogs, gophers, antelope, eagles, wild turkey, Canadian geese, bobcats, the gray wolf, fly catchers,

6 Geographical Distribution
Latitude degrees north or south latitude Continent- North America, Europe, Russia, Asia, and South America. Proximity to oceans- No oceans really close to the grasslands.

7 Impact of human activity
We have turned a lot of the grassland biomes into farmland and and urban areas.
