Introduction This animal is a very dangerous creature. This animal is good at hunting. In this report you will be learning about the Komodo dragon’s adaptations, their habitats and food.
Adaptations Did you know the Komodo Dragon can kill a prey in a few days after using one of its adaptations. One of the creatures adaptations is very dangerous. This ability can tear through its prey. This ability is very sharp claws. Another adaptation is deadly saliva. This can kill its prey after using it. But it will take a few days. The last adaptation I’m going to tell you is its forked tongue. This allows it to follow scents and find its prey. Did you know the komodo dragon is not a dragon it’s a lizard?
Habitats Did you know the komodo dragon only lives on a few islands? These islands are on the other side of the world. One of the islands is Rinca. Rinca is in Indonesia. Another place is near the pacific edge. That’s near water. It also lives in warm places. Not in America just Indonesia.
Food Some of the food that the Komodo dragon eats are very hard to catch and one of its foods you don’t want to know. One of its foods is a wild boar. Wow that must be hard. Another food is a water buffalo. Imagine that. Lastly I’m going to tell you is most frightening. It’s a human. Did you hear the Komodo dragon is the largest flesh eating lizard?
Conclusion I’m glad you got to know about this endangered animal. I hope someday I can see a komodo dragon in nature.
