1 Attendance Management Work time with APACS

2 Overview APACS can take attendance to see what cardholders were on site and for how long Reports can also show what employees were NOT on site for a particular day It is important to evaluate the particular site to determine the best solution

3 Reader Placement If employees are ‘on the clock’ ONLY when inside the building, the entrance readers can be used. -Turnstiles are recommended -There can be multiple IN/OUT readers IN OUT IN OUT Not Counted in Work time

4 Reader Placement If employees may leave the site or area while still working, dedicated IN/OUT readers should be installed at convenient areas. Employees must be instructed to read their card at beginning and end of work day. IN OUT INOUT Not Counted in Work time

5 Reader Placement It is possible to use a single reader for IN & OUT, but only if it is the FIRST and LAST reader that will be read during the day. This could be either exit readers or a dedicated reader located where staff leave the site. IN/OUT

6 Reader Setup Any reader in the system can be set to an IN or OUT reader for the purpose of counting time.

7 Reports Daily Attendance Report shows total hours worked based on IN and OUT events

8 Reports Absentee report shows staff who did not read their card on a given day(s) and a reason for absence can be entered for the printed/exported report.

9 Reports Access based report shows result of first and last card read at ANY reader in the system
