1. Welcome Parents and Student Athletes North Forsyth Middle School Cheerleading Try-out Meeting Competition/Football Coach: Nicci Durban

2. Tryout Dates April 26 – 30, in the NFMS gym 4:30-6:30 Tryouts on Friday will run later than the clinic days, you will need to stay until all tryouts are complete in the case of call backs.

3. Eligibility Squad members will be made up of 7 th and 8 th graders and will be chosen based upon their ability and skill level Students must be passing all classes based on 1 st semester averages Students must have a current physical on file

4. Requirements  Cheer  Dance  Jumps - toe touch and pike or hurdler ‏  Positive Attitude  Good Grades - passing all subjects 1 st semester  Good Attendance  Current Physical on file  Everyone must be dressed in appropriate attire everyday. Additionally, you must wear red shorts and a white shirt for the actual try-out.

5. Additional Requirements Football/Competition:  Tumbling is not a requirement; however it is worth 20 points on the score sheet (10 standing and 10 running).  If you are interested in making the competition squad, tumbling classes are strongly encouraged.

6. Available Spots Football/Competition: 18–25 *Spots will be filled according to skill level*

7. Attend the tryout dates You must be able to attend all choreography sessions Participate in all fund-raising and community service projects Maintain high academic standards and a good attendance record Attend all games and practices Participate in all games/practices/competitions regardless of all-star cheerleading Comply with the all-star policy Reflect a positive image at all times Expectations

8. Calendar June 5-7 are mandatory attendance dates for choreography Leave all Saturdays open during the months of September and October, competition dates will not be set until May 6.

9. Cheer Contract Please read this information carefully and understand the commitment involved with being a member of the Wildcat Cheerleading squad

10. Approximate Cost for Competition Squad $600 - Can be split into 2 payments of $300 each  The first payment is due by May 28.  The second payment is be due by August 6.  There will be several fund raisers to help with cost. Sponsors - 1 required from each girl, get 6 more and your season is paid for…  Gym fees - first month (May) $100 which includes annual registration fee, $65 a month for June - October

11. Disclaimer  Picking the team is like putting together pieces of a puzzle.  Just because you have made the team in the past does not guarantee you a spot this year. Everyone must give their all and work hard at try outs.
