3. What is this CAMPAIGN all about?  VIVEK BAND, is a campaign to spread the legacy of Swamy Vivekananda by wearing a wrist band with the message 'BE GOOD - DO GOOD'

4. National Scenario  India has highest youth population in the world. The young India is highly potential for a mass social transformation.  There should be an effort to harvest the youth energy, which thinks and works for the society, pledged to make the nation as an universal superpower.

5. Need of Youth Awakening  There are plenty of socio-economic, socio- political challenges within our society which weakens the national integrity.  An awakened Youth Population can only has all courage and ability to fight against social evils like casteism, social challenges like terrorism and imbue the spirit of universal brotherhood.

6. Importance of Social Initiatives  Social initiatives are much needed and timely helpful to awaken the youth population of this nation. History always narrated that an alert population can only make a stable society.  VIVEK BAND for every youth’s wrist is such one initiative to imbue the spirit of nationalism and patriotism amongst youth population of India.

8. When does the Campaign start?  This campaign will begin on January 12 th, 2016, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swamy Vivekananda, which is celebrated as National Youth Day.

9. The Campaign Duration The “Be Good - Do Good” campaign starts with the wearing of the wrist band on 12 th January 2016 and lasts for 2 weeks till January 26 th, 2016.

10. Who should wear Vivek Band ?  College students, Young professionals, both men and women  Though it can be given to any age- group, specific focus is on the dynamic youth

11. Why ‘BE GOOD - DO GOOD’? January 12th, National Youth Day is a reminder of the immense potential and opportunities that the youth have, to transform their lives and to pledge to build a strong, healthy society.

12. BE GOOD…. Like: Pledge to bring a positive change within self For Example: No to tobacco- alcohol, Respect for all, Yes to healthy lifestyle, Use organic food, Practice Yoga, Control anger- bad emotions, Think Positive, Adopt good habits.

13. DO GOOD….  Like: Participate in an activity which helps transformation at social level  For Example: Donate blood, Teach poor kids, Wear Khadi, Use Swadeshi products, Stop using plastic, Conduct Swacch Bharat activity, Exhibit social outlook, Participate in community activities
