2  A community pharmacist is responsible for controlling, dispensing and distributing medicine. They work in legal and ethical guidelines to ensure the correct and safe supply of medical products to the general public. They are involved in maintaining and improving people’s health by providing advice and information as well as prescription medicines.  Doctorate of Pharmacy degree.

3  Medicine and Dentistry- This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive – health care measures.  Customer and Personal Services- This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.  Mathematics- Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.  Chemistry- Uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.  English language- Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

4  Reading Comprehension- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.  Active Listening- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.  Critical Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaching to problems.  Instructions- Teaching others how to do something.  Monitoring- Monitoring/ Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective actions.  Service Orientation- Actively looking for ways to help people.  Speaking- Taking others to convey information effectively.  Writing- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience

5  Oral Comprehension: The ability to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.  Written Comprehension- The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.  Near Vision- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).  Oral Expression- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.  Problem Sensitivity- The ability to tell when something is wrong or is like to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.

10  Clean, well-lit, and well ventilated areas  Spend most of the time on foot  When working with or around sterile or potentially dangerous pharmaceutical products, pharmacists wear special protective equipment
