5. Population & Culture The Southeast Region is: Very religious. It is known to be called the “Bible Belt”. Known for the birth of country music. Known for a large population of Latin American descent, especially in Florida.

6. Economy The Southeast Region has very good farming. Cotton and tobacco are two big crops in the southeast region. Georgia and Florida are known for their fruits, including peaches and oranges. Tourists help the economy because they visit this region to golf and attend festivals including Mardi Gras.

7. Places of Interest Nashville, Tennessee is known for the Country Music Hall of Fame. The Outer Banks, NC is a beautiful beach with wild horses. Walt Disney World Theme Park is located in Florida. Louisiana has some great American Jazz music.
