AR in education and learning Will Augmented Reality be a “game changer” and result in a- Learning by adding an additional training capability like e- Learning did years ago?

Simple Introduction to AR Technology

The ‘WOW’ Factor Optimal first impression Immediately capture audiences Visualisation allows to engage learners Stimulate social and decision making skills Superimposing visual aids enhances vocational studies Learning material comes to life

Conclusions for AR in Education AR is a powerful tool to enhance learning experience. Educators are willing to use AR to deliver a teaching experience that lasts. Learners engage in the things they are doing, be it learning or training or reading a book. There are plenty of AR tools that are easy to use.

Studies have shown the school children trust their teachers for matters that concern them. Parents are troubled about children’s online safety and frequently take protective measures of a prohibitive character limiting their children’s online experiences.

AR curricula? Authentic Learning The ability to add to reality by superimposing visual aids enhances instruction and learning for those disciplines where specific elements must be learned and remembered.

Delivery Interdisciplinary approach Multi session workshops Online and offline activities Social learning

What will Children Gain Dealing with pleasant/unpleasant online experiences; Self-reflection on online identities; How to handle the online personae; Self-presentation, profiling and their relationship; Acquire technological skills; Understand how random data manifests to online identity;

Summary/Conclusions There are technological solutions for almost all technology related problems.
