2 Informal reports 1- Two to five pages of text not including attachments. 2- Has more substance than memos and letters but less than formal report. 3- Directed to readers inside (Memo Report) 4- Directed to readers outside ( Letter report) 5- With purpose to clarify or explain (Informative). 6- with purpose to convince (Persuasive)

(Personnel, Equipments, products, services) 2- Main goal to provide objective information. 3- Report readers can choose the next step. 4- Any opinions must be supported by facts. 5- Main focus is the Problem not solution.

Recommendation Report 1- Presents readers with specific suggestions on situation affecting (Personnel, Equipments, products, services) 2- Main objective is to persuade. 3- Recommending the next step supported with objective information. 4- Any opinions must be supported by facts. 5- Main focus is the solution not Problem.

Equipment Evaluations To buy, maintain, replace equipments 1- Presents readers with objective data about how equipments has or has not functioned. 2- Like problem analysis, may just focus on problems. 3- Or like recommending, may suggest a change in equipments. 4- Must provide a well-documented review on the equipment performance.

Progress/Periodic Reports 1- Intended to cover activities that occurred during a specific period of time (Inside or Outside) 2- Progress Report provide details to managers or clients a bout work progress and its current status. 3- Periodic Report usually directed within your org. summarize your work over a specific time period.

Financial Reports Accounting management Describing the financial situation of a business firm; often supported by official financial statements, like: in and out Cash Flows, Balance sheets, income statements, sales aggregation …. Focus on the describing situations past, current and future predictions. Directed to people inside the company.

21 7. Activity Reports 1- Describe any work or action done in the firm. 3- Directed to people inside your org.. 4- Can act as a supporting detail in other report. 5- Main focus Describing-Situation and not on Problems or Solutions
