11. Everything you need to know about calculators! All students must be provided with calculators. 3 rd and 4 th grade calculators must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide OPET - eBoard

12. What do you mean we can’t use calculators? The Short Constructed Response (SCR) questions, which are administered during the first part of the test for all grades 3 through 8 students, will now be a NON-CALCULUATOR active section for all students. This new policy affects our bilingual and special needs population as well. In our elementary grades of 3 and 4, the calculators will only be permitted during section/part 4 of the NJASK assessment. In grades 5 through 8, the calculators will only be permitted during Part 4, Part 5 and Part 6 of the 2010 NJASK math assessment. These Parts will include Multiple Choice (MC) and Extended Constructed Response (ECR) questions.
