Methods of Learning ApprenticeshipUniversityCollege - On-the-job training (90% of the time) plus technical classroom training. - Classroom training includes theory/lab work. - Lots of hands-on training - Programs are very focused -Trouble-shooting, problem solving, and working with your hands. -Focus is typically on widely applied skills such as researching, writing, and critical thinking. - Methods of learning include: lectures, research papers, essays, group projects, case studies, labs, experiments - Emphasis is on “hands-on” learning - Methods of learning include: lectures, studying textbooks, presentations, group projects, labs, reports, and real-life projects

Admission Requirements ApprenticeshipUniversityCollege - Completion of Gr. 12 OSSD certificate -Student in good standing - References -An employer willing to hire you as an apprentice - Registration with the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities - OYAP (can be started in High School) - Completion of Gr. 12 OSSD certificate - Minimum SIX courses at the U or M level - ENG 4U at a min of 65- 70% -Entrance averages depend on program - Completion of Gr. 12 OSSD certificate - Courses at the U, C, or M level depending on the program - Each program has its own prerequisites - Certain programs are extremely competitive
