3 Parts of an Experiment Independent variable; Input, the manipulated variable. What the experimenter chooses to change Dependent variable; Output, what the experimenter measures. It Depends on the independent variable Experimental control; Trials used for comparison Constant variables; Variables that could change but don’t.

4 The Scientific Method is based on empirical evidence data that is collected through the five senses. 1.Touch 2.Taste 3.Smell 4.Hear 5.See

5 Empirical Evidence May be Quantitative (numbers) or Qualitative (descriptive)

6 Parts of an Experiment Independent Variable:" Input” “Manipulated Variable” The variable that the experimenter changes themselves. The experimenter “manipulates” the condition. Dependent Variable: “Out Put” The dependent Variable depends on the independent variable. This is wat the experimenter measures as a result (output) of manipulating (independent variable) another variable. Controlled Variable: " Constant Variable” These are variables (conditions) that could change but don’t. Experimental Control: “Control” The Trials used for comparison in an experiment.
