5. Gas State Gas and Vapor mean the same thing. Gas will fill a container of any size or shape. The atoms and molecules will evenly spread out. Gas is like you and your enemies. You run away from each other, do not want to be together and if you are forced to stay in one place together, you move away constantly. You might see compressed air in a spray bottle or feel the carbon dioxide rush out of a can of soda.
